(630)357- One of the Broz favorite places to hang out, is Miss Kitty's in Naperville, Illinois. There's no denying the fact that it has a charm all of its own and it’s definitely not your typical Naperville bar. It's amazing how many people from around the country happen to stumble upon this place and wind up referring to it as "home away from home". Live music is scheduled here 2 or 3 times a month and karaoke every Thursday night with Jason Hubbard. Since early 1999, Wednesdays have been open mic night, hosted primarily by Rich Matz and occasionally by Lenny Hosey. We like to think of this as not the typical sign-up and wait for 3 hours if you get to play at all kind of event. I like to treat it like I'm jamming with my friends in the living room at home. Occasionally, a sign-up sheet is needed if the place is packed, but usually it's a very casual atmosphere with many combinations of musicians. Participants are asked to bring their own instruments and guitar players may want to bring a small amp, as there is only one most of the time. P.A., bass amp, one guitar amp and drum set (provided by Randy Wynn), are always present. Feel free to stop by one night, have a beer and join us crazies in some good time fun. We may not always sound professional, but we have a blast tryin'. Besides, practice makes better and you may meet that other musician who could fill in the piece of that band puzzle you've been working on! |
